Hibernia Southern Extension

HSE Project Summary

The Hibernia Southern Extension (or HSE), is a subsea development with tiebacks to the Hibernia platform. The project includes up to 5 platform drilled production wells and up to 6 water injection subsea wells. These will be the first subsea wells for Hibernia and this will transform the development of this world class resource.

  • Up to five production wells drilled from existing Hibernia gravity-based structure (GBS)
  • Up to six subsea water injection wells for pressure support drilled by mobile offshore drilling unit
  • One 10-metre deep excavated drill centre 7 km southeast of GBS
  • Subsea tie-back to Hibernia GBS
  • Topsides subsea control tie-ins
  • Single subsea water injection manifold
